Tyre Maintenance Services

At All Coast Goodyear Autocare and All Coast Tyre Solutions we want to help you get the most out of your tyre investment. We are often asked the question, “How many kilometres will I get out of these tyres?

The answer, it really comes down to the quality of the tyre purchased (Budget v Premium), your tyre maintenance and application. In fact we see up to 25% more life out of set of tyres when maintained correctly with regular rotations, wheel balances and wheel alignments. The difference can be from 40,000km out of a set of tyres, to 60,000km. (For some – up to a year worth of driving!)

Tyre Case Studies

Case Study 1

We had a customer, Kathy, who we fitted Dunlop Grandtrek PT3 tyres to her Kia Carnival. Kathy travels up and down the highway daily for work and uses her car as the ‘shopping trolly’.

Earlier this year we have had to replace her tyres at 35,000km. We hadn’t seen this customer for any maintenance services or wheel alignments since we fitted the tyres in 2018.

In our professional opinion 35,000km is premature for a set of premium Dunlop tyres. The tyres had worn prematurely due to a misalignment, from a pothole, gutter, and just general wear and tear over 35,000km without any maintenance other than the occasional rotation at the car dealership when being serviced.

Case Study 2

On the other hand, Natalie, a local mum that does the school drop off and picks up and drives around the Sunshine Coast for her kids sports. Natalie also owns a Kia carnival.

Because of the style of driving Natalie does we insisted she fits the Dunlop Grandtrek PT3 Tyres to her car also. Natalie was great at keeping on top of her scheduled maintenance services which includes a Rotation, 4-wheel balance and a wheel alignment. She loved the text message system to reminder her when to give our team a call.

Once it came time to replacing Natalie’s tyres after 60,000km since fitted, not only were we impressed with how many kilometres she had the tyres on for, but Natalie also impressed how the tyres performed. Great wearing, very grippy in wet weather and reliable when breaking in emergency situations.

The Difference

Same tyre, same vehicle, similar application.

The difference – One vehicle had better tyre life from regular maintenance services, the other Kia, could have seen better tyre life by taking advantage of our maintenance program. 25,000km differencewe will let you do the math!

Interested in these Grandtrek PT3 Tyres we keep raving about ? Check them out here.

Keeping your tyres rotated, balances in check, and wheel alignment on track every 10,000km, our tyre technicians can identify any premature wear patterns or problems. We can correct these problems to increase the life of your tyre.

Once we fit new tyres to your vehicle, we schedule a text message reminder to remind you to come back for a FREE Rotate and balance at 5000km since the tyres were fitted – Typically 2-4 months for the average driver.

We even developed a calculator where we will enter your vehicles kilometres, date of last visit and your recent visit to work out how many kilometres you typically travel a month. This gives us better indication on when we should send you a text message reminder of your up and coming service – Pure convenience. We also pop a service reminder sticker in the top windscreen of your vehicle with the kilometres your vehicle will be due for its next rotation and what pressure in PSI to set your tyres to.

From your first maintenance service at 5000km which is a complimentary service we then schedule message reminders and update the service sticker for 10,000km maintenance service which includes a Rotation, Balance and discounted Wheel alignment, this service is continued throughout the life of the tyres.

At these services we will check for any signs of premature tyre wear patterns from a misalignment, shock absorber problems or tyre inflation issues.
